115th Year Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Ramana
Om Namo Bhagavathe Ramanaya
115th year Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Ramana Residing
at Thiruvannamalai
by Baratha Kshetra Art Centre (Sri Ramanalayam)
Bhagawan Sri Ramana is a great “Maharishi” of our times and Sage of Arunachala. “Know Thy Self” was the mantra available from him. He lived a simple life with only a piece of loin around his waist from the age of 16 till His Maha Nirvana. He did not travel to meet devotees but devotees from all over the world of different race, culture and religion were at His feet to receive His Holy grace and guidance.
Bhagawan Sri Ramana left Madurai at the age of 16 on 29th August, 1896 and reached Thiruvannamalai on 1st September, 1896 to immerse within Lord Arunachaleswarar. Despite His Maha Nirvana on 14th April, 1950, Sri Bhagawan, is still living and residing at the Arunachala Hill (Sri Ramanasramam).
To celebrate Bhagawan Sri Ramana’s presence of 115th year at Thiruvannamalai, Baratha Kshetra Art Centre (Sri Ramanalayam), will be holding a spiritual program from 1st September to 3rd September, 2011 at Tan Sri Soma Hall/Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The program will feature exhibition, spiritual discourse, talks, distribution of books, providing alms to the poor, musical, arts and culture performances to promote the life and teachings of Bhagawan Sri Ramana. A 115 page program book with articles and pictures of Sri Bhagawan will be published to commemorate this program.
Rituals, rites, lavish prayers and satsangs were completely discouraged by Bhagawan. Be yourself, sit quietly and meditate to discover within yourself as Who Am I? Was the gospel of Sri Bhagawan. Love, kindness and dharmic way of life were always encouraged by Sri Bhagawan.
